Newly renovated ECE Campus at 29 Kent Road

With a welcoming entrance to the campus playgrounds, the newly renovated campus located on 29 Kent Road allows children to explore the school from different perspectives. The widely-open playing field connects the whole school, where children can unlock the treasures of the space through their lens.

Design Concept

With a boutique open space, the renovation is about:

• Portals - Seeing the existing building as a treasure box, kids circled the enclosure, unlocking the box through different portals.

• Architecture as the learning tool - Seeing through, peeking in, crawling, watching, squeezing, all differently yet reaching the same box. Experiencing the campus by its structure and learning by exploring possibilities.

• Loop around the Building - A loop is created around the existing building, allowing kids to play around and experience their daily routine differently.

Children can experience the campus by its innovative structure and learn by exploring endless possibilities

Children can explore the space through the Exploration Bridges and different portals

Seeing through, peeking in and crawling, children can play in and around Adventure Land, experiencing their day in different ways

The outdoor water play facilities include a Paddling Pool and a Water Play Wall that sparks children's creativity as well as critical and logical thinking

A semi-open space, the Reading Corner with durable, kid-friendly vinyl flooring offers children a cosy room to let their imaginations fly as they engage in high-quality literature

The Indoor Climbing Wall is a fun facility that improves children's physical strength, concentration and confidence as well as developing their gross motor skills and spatial awareness

Outdoor Water Play Facilities

The outdoor water play facilities include a paddling pool and a water play wall:

• Paddling Pool - Shallow and child-friendly, the paddling pool is ideal for bonding and refreshing moments during summer and can be converted into a play tent during wintertime.
• Water play wall - With a configuration of containers, tubes and funnels, the water-play wall requires kids to assemble the pipes with creativity and a logical mind in order to take the

Interior Design

• Flooring - The campus is redecorated with durable, kid-friendly vinyl flooring to allow the kids to play and explore the areas more safely. A resilient flooring option, vinyl gives it a soft, springy feel.

• Wall - At the same time, the wall is covered mainly by cushion or vinyl, offering a resilient, shock-absorbing material for toddlers and kids to protect them from accidents.

Quality Environment

• Conducted air quality test in attaining “Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Certificate” issued by Environmental Protection Department
• Equipped with furniture from Community Playthings, a US-crafted furniture brand creates high-quality furniture and equipment for childcare, preschool, and various classrooms. 
• Use Resene surface paint from New Zealand that complies with environmental regulatory requirements.
• Installed with fresh air devices from Japan to ensure air pollutants such as bacteria, viruses or germs are filtered out of the air indoors.
