**Welcome to the Yew Chung Pop and Jazz Festival inspired by the iconic Glastonbury Pop Festival from Somerset UK**

**We present both live and broadcast concerts featuring popular music and dance that spans a period from the 1950s to the present day. Enjoy music with inspiring rhythmic beat to the more reflective soul searching melodies. Students from both primary and secondary school have collaborated to perform in our concert**

### "Fly me to the moon"

"Fly Me to the Moon" was written in 1954 by Bart Howard and made famous by Frank Sinatra's 1964 version closely associated with the Apollo missions to the Moon

### “Self-Identity”

Choreographed by Garry Corpuz and QingXin Wang from Hong Kong Ballet, Olivia Leung sees the dance as depicting the quest for identity in a complex world

The song is written by Rosé. The calming and chill vibe is conveyed through the guitar and the bass guitar

### “Shorter Chaplin”

This music is by Leslie Searle, a saxophonist with the British Royal Air Force Germany Band. He wrote many works for winds and chamber orchestra

This song is written by the American band Maroon 5 and is based on Pachelbel’s Canon. It depicts memories of a loved one who has since passed away

EdSheeran wrote "Shivers" for his third studio album at a rented farm in Suffolk, UK. It was where he had his last date of a world tour, and it took him three days to write

The music is by Sam Sparro. This dance routine was created for the Kangaroo Cup 2021 and Dance World Cup 2021
