YALC: Playful Pals Summer Programme (Early Childhood Education)

KLT and TKO Playful ITLP Summer Programme
Age: 6 months to 2 years old

Children attend with one caregiver and take part in sensory play, language-rich experiences, mark-making, physical play, and child-centred exploration.
Takeaways: Children develop language, sensory awareness, motor skills, independence, and early social-emotional learning in a nurturing environment.

Come and explore our YCIS Infant and Toddler Learning Programme!
Children will be exposed to a rich language environment, intentional physical environments, sensory play and mark-making opportunities, as well as schematic play, amongst a range of other learning opportunities through child-centred play.
 
*Taught by experienced YCIS HK teachers.
 
Structure
  • Exploration of class spaces: Various experiences on offer that explore sensory exploration, the creative arts, and imaginative play.
  • Snack Time: Snack time with healthy food and opportunities to develop and refine independence and self-regulation skills.
  • Story Time: stories in English and Chinese that promote language and literacy development
  • Physical Play: Activities that promote the development of gross motor skills, such as obstacle courses and group games.
  • Goodbye Time: Tidying up, followed by bubble play, parachute games, and singing songs to wrap up the session.

TKO Playful Pals Summer Programme
 Age: 2 to 4 years old
 
A play-based summer programme rooted in the Yew Chung Approach, designed to support early learning through exploration, creativity, and language development.
Takeaways: Children strengthen sensory development, language learning, social skills, and early concepts such as colours, textures, maths, science, and problem-solving.

Rooted in the Yew Chung Approach to Early Childhood Education and taught by experienced YCIS HK teachers, our Playful Pals Summer Programme in Tseung Kwan O, is designed for children aged 2 to 4 years. The programme aims to foster early childhood development by providing experiences that stimulate exploration, creativity, and language development.
 
Objectives
  1. Enhance Sensory Development: Provide a variety of sensory experiences to help children explore their environment through touch, sight, sound, taste, and smell which support early cognitive development.
  2. Support language learning: children are exposed to a rich language learning environment through literacy opportunities.
  3. Promote Social Skills: Facilitate interactions among children to encourage socialisation, turn-taking and cooperative play.
  4. Support Early Learning: Introduce concepts of colours, textures, math, science, and basic problem-solving through playful activities.

YCIS Hong Kong: STEAM Summer Camp 2026
Age: 4 to 6 years old

A play-based STEAM camp where children explore science, technology, creativity, robotics, and basic coding through hands-on activities.
Takeaways: Children build early STEAM interest, creativity, problem-solving skills, and teamwork through fun, engaging experiences.

We are excited to announce our STEAM Summer Camp, where children can explore and enjoy technology and science within a play-based environment! This engaging program will create a hands-on environment that sparks children's interest in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics).
 
During the week, children will make kaleidoscopes, explore with robots, and learn basic coding through engaging activities. Our experienced teachers will help them discover the exciting world of technology while encouraging creativity and teamwork.
