Congratulations to our Year 12 students Jasmine Chan, Ada Wong, Wong Nga Sze, Woo Tsz Ching and Hedley Yim!

🥳 👏 We won the championship in the Health Exhibition Presentation Competition 2020 over the other four finalist schools: Diocesan Girls’ School, German Swiss International School, St. Francis’ Canossian College and St. Paul’s Convent School. YCIS was shortlisted as the 5 finalists among 13 participating schools and attained the championship after 3 rounds of selection and review on report, video presentation and in-person presentation.

The YCIS team worked on “Stigma Towards Schizophrenia and its Portrayal in Mass Media”, which they studied on the causes and symptoms of the disease, and investigated on how mass media has perpetuated stereotypes on schizophrenia. They also gave valuable and inspirational advice on the issue. They carried out extensive research in the psychiatry disorder and discussed how to enhance public awareness and knowledge in it. Let’s take a look at their presentation!

The inter-secondary school competition was held by The Chinese University of Hong Kong annually. This year, participants are required to study nervous system disorders and explore possible ways to educate the public and protect patients.

YCIS’s interactive education environments encourage children to learn and explore holistically, grooming them to become global competent leaders. Join our Information Sessions now to learn more about YCIS.
